Re: thickest Vacuum Board

I once had a 3/4" spoilboard, a 1/4" wasteboard, a 1" Mdf panel, then put on a 3/4" Melamine 24'X24" and it held very well! Now, I use a 3/4" Ultra-lite MDF wasteboard then a 3/8" wasteboard. Last time, I caulked the wasteboard to the Spoilboard and the Spoilboard ...

Help w DXF

I need a little help from my friends. A client sent me this AutoCad DXF file to cut parts from 1/2" Plywood. I have never used a DXF file in RN. This DXF is set up @ 0 thickness and I tried to give it a .5 thickness in BobCad but really don't know what I am doing and it didn't work. Also, is th...

Re: Cherry Cabinets in a 20x20 Garage

Nice Work David! eCab's IS a great tool. I presented a bid last week for some work in the Superior Courtroom. They were very impressed by the proffesional renderings and that I was the only one that "got" what they wanted. They could see that we were on the same page because of eCabinets. ...

Re: Failed to thicken ?

One other thing that I noticed that may or may not matter. If you take the right end into Part Editor and attempt to erase the notch, TWO geometric rectangles show up in the notch, one being a little taller. I don't know but this may not help things... On the other hand, I was messing with the left ...

Re: Failed to thicken ?

I THINK I found it. It seems to be caused by the blind dado and toe notch running into each other. If I set the Blind dado for the deck to 1.25, it works fine but if I reset it back to 1", upon regeneration, I get the "failed to thicken" error. This was in V5.1. Hope this helps.

Re: How many passes?

I recently cut some of the 2" Plyboo. I lied about the spoilboard and cut no more than 3/8" in one pass. That multi-lam Plyboo has grain in all directions. I had some tearout when cutting a 45 degree edge. You may want to watch that.

Re: Kitchens for a year and a half!

Francis,

It sounds like a job like that may justify leasing a router NOW! Well, after you actually get that big contract. Maybe you should call the guys at Thermwood. No, I'm not a salesman. Just a thought.

Leigh,

If you make your part from a cabinet panel(back) and delete all other parts, then it can be resized.

Re: Frame flush to inside

I do as Mike S does. I hate that faceframe inset plate so I flush to the inside and use an inset hinge and plate. I setup a hole pattern for a spacer blocks to use for drawer slides. I don't use a lock miter on the finished ends but that's a great idea. Do you do it on the CNC or manually?
