the highlighted part is the part that is causing me the grief.

i have created a curved desktop in part editor and drawn it in 3 parts so i can get each individual peice to cut out of a sheet. generally when ive created stuff before it maneuvers the part to nest in accordingly in which 2 peices nest in but one does not and states that the part is too big when if...

hi brad, if we need to recut parts we simply reload the program again. so by what your saying we would have alot of those files there as since ive been here ive not known about the recut option or files. so deleting those files as you said would make a difference as there would be quite literally 10...

RAM has been received and installed. it seems to be a little bit quicker. i will monitor as it progresses as we are in our quiet period.

hi clint, thanks for getting back, a program isn't really required was more of research as to see if it could be done from the cnc file created. as it would not be solely used for this particular part and if we were to get a program it would be for that part only. thanks for the description it helps...

yeh i know you can do that,

we just want to use the cnc file instead of having to nest it in all the time. we have a work around so its fine was just seeing how hard it would be to do

when sending down jobs to cnc and nesting it then writing the cnc file, with parts im using we may need to cut 1 or 3 identicle parts depending on situation is there a way i can adjust the cnc file to ask if we require 1, 2 or 3 so the quantity of the parts are part of the cnc programme? or is that ...

we dont use the room feature as we find its quicker to make an assembly and send to the machine to cut from there, was just unsure if the global item modification feature was able to change all of the assembly, but from the looks of things it cant. its not a major thing and we can work around it.

does the global modification adj feature allow you to select all cabinets and change their options e.g change door/drawer color? if does allow you to do so. it doesnt work for me, when i highlight all door cabinets in the assembly and change the door color it goes through and comes up with a message...

Okay this great, i have worked it out i have written my macro. when i export cutlist to excel on a different job my macro isnt there. but if i open up the saved cutlist with the macro i made it sorts it out exactly how i want it. how do i make the macro save so i dont have to keep opening up this on...

Thats fine i can see on his version of excel there are tabs to choose from, on my version there isnt any tabs so i cant go to sheet components as he is instruction to do.

thanks michael, i have had a look and there are 4 slots so should have no problems now. will confirm when the ram has arrived
