Re: Table top inlay banding
Forthe inlay strip round the edge I would bring the top into the part editor and go to contour mode, select create edges and delete any edge that is not the perimeter, then select each edge one at a time and use the move function to reposition them 2 inches inside the top. Use the trim function to j...

Re: Nesting and added sheets
Hey Thom, yeah I have use the nest to edge of sheet, I don't like to as some of our edges are not real good, I still like to get a little trimmed off a sheet. I suppose I just find it funny that if I nest and it says I can't cut this piece and then I give it one sheet the right size it uses this to ...

Nesting and added sheets
We have our material set up in eCabinets as 2410x1210. If I get a part that is too big I measure the sheets and add a sheet of that size. We do this because our sheets tend to vary in size so 99% of the time our jobs cut out fine. Every now and then we need to cut something 2400 long which won't cut...

Re: Edgebanding Deck
Same thing happened to me, started with a cabinet that had no deck, added a deck then tried to put edgebanding on. No front edge available in edgebanding. Went back to construction settings and found the front construction of the deck to be blank, change this to butt and it is then available for edg...

Re: Importing from excel
This is straight from the help file section in ecabinets, you can import a batch of cabinets this way. Check the helpfile as it has a great screenshot of the format the excel file needs to be in Add Data Using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets A properly formatted Excel spreadsheet can be used to input c...

Re: Getting to HOT!!!
Hi Thom, don't know if this will help, we used the Onsrud cutters on a machine at a place I worked at a while ago, while I can't remember the exact router specs or the speeds we ran them, I remember we use to run the bit at 100% through 16mm chipboard then with the same settings, back it down 50% - ...

Re: 5.2 build 1
the typo reminds me of when I use to work for a company that supplied builders, all the jobs were refered to by the last name of the builder, so we had the Morris job, the Jackson job etc.....you can imagine the mirth created in the office and factory when we started getting work from a builder call...

Hey Thom, do you mean how many Kiwi's living in Australia are using eCabs, cos that would be heaps, If you meant how many Kiwi's still living in NZ using it, I'd have to say both of them.

It varys depending on the amount of staff you have, as for savings, well it's a bit too soon to quantify for us but some of the places we visted that are using it are getting a few hundread thou savings over the year. What I have noticed so far is the it is also our bundy clock now, and it gives me ...

Re: This might be helpful
Yes Thom, this will do that....and more. You feed your machining times into this and the system then shows you what's being worked on, how much longer the job has to go etc etc. It will track what is going overtime, reworks. I know your only interested in one section of the factory and this will tra...

Re: This might be helpful
Hey Thom, If you want to know what your guys are doing in the factory, look at these guys. We put this in a month ago and I must say I'm impressed. We are still in the early stages of setup and running but it's already giving us great feedback on our factory. And they are closer to you lol http://ww...
