Re: Forcing bit use?
Hmmm, that doesn't sound right, post the dxf if you can. I'd check the tool diameter at the machine, tool tolerance in control nesting and maybe ignore groups if you're using default tooling.

Re: Forcing bit use?
Can't you just turn off interpolation on that bit for that job or are you using that tool for an interpolation operation as well? Maybe you could decrease the max interpolation diameter for that job, create a new tool group and delete it later.

Re: Dividing a L-shaped Off-Fall
Right, I'd use the control nesting for most off-fall cuts, but every now and then I just need to cut something up to get it out of the way and giant L shapes are really annoying to store; this is usually only an issue on grain direction specific material as you get a crappy yield no matter what you ...

Re: Dividing a L-shaped Off-Fall
You know, I was thinking, what you could do is write your own parametric scrap cutting sub program and insert it at the end of every sheet. Just give yourself the option of an x and y size you want, or a skip option if you don't need it, repeat if you have more than one size you want. Seems like tha...

Re: Dividing a L-shaped Off-Fall
I think you'll have to add one or two of those panel sizes to the list, the off-fall will not automatically spit in to 2 entities from what I've seen.

Re: new feature request
Not unless it's next to a part that does get tabbed; as long as the spoil board doesn't have a lot of cut channels the part holds still and there is no lip. Try width 6 and length 12 in your tab settings; this works for my parts but you may have to play with it. Wouldn't a rough pass with the option...

Re: new feature request
We have the "lip" on all edges of double cut pieces. We used to have a dedicated router table with a flush trim bit to clean up these parts. If you want to talk about redundancy, its watching a new cnc cut out 100 cabinet parts, and 25 of them being cleaned up manually on a $150 dollar ro...

Re: Was creating twd files, now CryptAcquireContext Errors
I don't have a solution but if you post the esj I can try and output the twd for you. I'd probably back everything up and then try and re-install ecabs.

Re: can't find cabinets
See if you can find your ecabinet sytems cabinet folder, you may have to search for it. On my computer it is C:\Users\Public\Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\cabinets , but it may be different for you. If you find this folder see if anything is in it and create a shortcut (send to desktop) so th...

Re: Problem With offfalls cutting into parts
Oh, I just had a similar issue but it was with grouped doors; turns out I had the bit diameter variable in Ecabinets true shape nesting as having a different diameter than what I was using at the machine as my outline tool, this caused some doors to be cut the wrong size. This sounds like some other...

Re: Cleaning Questions
What grit scotch brite- pads should I use on tool holders? I ordered some general purpose (7447) to try, is this too aggressive, should I use ultra fine 7448 instead?

Re: Build 8 install problems
No idea if this will help, but try and turn off uac settings, if on. Sometimes this prevents me from installing programs.
