Re: Link nesting issue
I've contacted Clint and will share what I'm finding as well. Parts were run happily last year with no DXF geometry issues. DXF template drawings are clean with none of the odd pockets Clint has found. Loaded up early job file from last year and it nested in link with no pocketing issues. Recreated ...

Re: Link nesting issue
Hi Tim, Thanks for the suggestion. The weird thing is that the simple left/right stretchers will nest fine. It's only the front stretcher with the curves that is causing the problem Seems like the part editor cut is throwing the link yet my 1/4 MC bit should cut that outline just fine. Scratching my...

Link nesting issue
Hi all, Here's a little repeat business from a customer whose job had been run successfully a little over a year ago. They've come back for some more cabs and wgen I went to load up the ones needed into batch and nested in Ecabs Link I'm getting a pocketing error. I don't know if its the curvey shap...

Re: Single row shelf pin holes
Thanks Jeremy, Seems I'm not able to open the file. I've copied the downloaded file to my Ecab shared documents cabinet folder and tried loading it in to cab editor but it kicks up errors. Tried opening it with Ecabs directly from download but I get invalid file type error. Not sure why it's bucking...

Single row shelf pin holes
Has anyone been able to use the shelf hole settings editor to create a single row of shelf pin hole in for the back edge of long shelves? I have read the help section and tried various combinations to accomplish this but the software sems to be smarter than I am. Any help would be appreciated. My ol...

Re: Right side oddities...
It's nesting with the dado's on the left and right side so this appears to be displaying improperly. Making the right end transparent reveals the dado geometry is there. Odd....

Right side oddities...
I've noticed on more than one occasion cabinet right sides are not getting milled out properly. Dropped shelf pin holes being the most common. I've figured it's been the misuse of the newer shelf pin features but I've experienced pin holes not getting cut when they had been selected in the shelf con...

Re: Way to large mortices
Thanks Scott,
Didn't realize this could happen either the adding or subtracting of cabs in the batch. Thanks for looking into this. As always, it's appreciated.

Re: Way to large mortices
Hi Scott,
Thanks again for looking at this. I have sent the Ecabs batch file and TWD file. Hopefully it is something simple that can get it resolved.

Re: Way to large mortices
Hi Scott, Thanks for looking into this. I have loaded earlier jobs and they did load in the proper sequence from the Ecab job file. For some rason this job I've attached is not loadin onto the web site and the result is a page refresh that wipes out the body of my message. File may be too large? I'v...

Re: Way to large mortices
Scott, Yes it does. I have done exactly as you described in other applications in the past. Works well. I'll also get the shaper set up with a radius cutter, set the power feed up and dump the pieces thru. Sometimes it's quicker to do a secondary operation on another machine for speed. Either way I'...

Re: Way to large mortices
Scott, Of course! I must have gotten lost looking at it too much (or not thinking about it enough?). Yep, 1/4" MC bi. Picking up the extra width on the dado mortise length to clear the inside radius for a blind tennon's shoulder cut makes sense. Same rule applies to the full dado. DOOH! Welp, l...

Way to large mortices
Hi all, Getting some odd cutting results from an Ecab file. I'm cutting some 'stud' walls for a stage project. There are 4 up/down, left and right stretchers that get a full dado on their left and right sides. The 'mortises' are getting cut apx. 1/4" too wide. I've checked the construction sett...

Onion skin feed speed link setting
Hello people, Could someone refresh my memory on what the setting is to control the rate of speed on the onion skin pass in the Ecab Link? I remembered it being the '% Full Feed for Through Cuts' field in the Cut Parameters settings. This has no effect and the program defaults to the 2.23"/sec....

Re: Drawer front issues
Gene,
Thank you for the very workable workaround. I will do that. Much appreciated.
Thank you Mark for the reading link. There's always something to learn.
