Re: v6 is slower on my computer

Yes Jim. We plan to work on improvements with performance. In reference to your question, yes, the Item Window is the area where you select items to place. The suggestion I posted was in reference to Rob's problem where selecting a cabinet was taking a long time. We found that when a directory of ma...

Re: V 6 locking up my pc

The reason for opening the Display Cube tab is to avoid having the Cabinets or Assemblies tab open while you work. The program is refreshing the directories when it is not necessary when these tabs remain open. This can cause excess work for the application which appears as a lock up. We will have t...

Re: V 6 locking up my pc

James is referring to the other post because I suggested switching to the Display Cube tab after loading a cabinet or assembly. There has been an issue found with directories containing large amounts of files causing the application to lock up. Please try this to see how the application responds for...

Re: v6 is slower on my computer

Rob, try this. After loading your cabinet or assembly into the Cabinet Editor, click on the Display Cube tab in the Item Window. Then try to do your selecting with the cabinet.

Re: Update installed, but keeps restarting itself!

I'm not really sure what to do next here. According to the Event Viewer information there is definitely something inferring with a component that eCabinet Systems uses. Maybe an uninstall then reinstall of FireFox?

Does anyone else on the forum have this conflict?

Re: Choice for Sheet Flip Ops on Fewest Sheets??

The Flip Ops First option can be turned on or off. When off the old way is used.

The sheet is trimmed to insure it is square. There are 3 options for trimming.

2 edges
3 edges
just where the pins are located

Re: Choice for Sheet Flip Ops on Fewest Sheets??

We considered this option when we implemented the flip ops first feature. Unfortunately there is not a straight forward method for implementing this with our nesting library. We will consider this as an enhancement in the future.

Re: Updates

The mfc error is occuring with the 5.50 version on machines that do not have Profile Modeler installed. To get around this problem you will need to go back to a previous version of Control Nesting. The installer issue should be resolved by running the 5.2 Build 6 update again and choosing the Remove...

Re: Update installed, but keeps restarting itself!

From the information you have posted it appears that there is an add-on in your browser(s) that is conflicting with a module that is used by eCabinets Systems. If you don't mind we would greatly appreciated if you tried removing add-ons in your browser(s) until the problem does not occur any longer....

Re: Update installed, but keeps restarting itself!

The way to remove these particular installs is to run the install again and select the Remove option. If you no longer have the exe for these you can download them from the following locations. For the library installs: http://www.ecabinetsystems.com/ecabinet_systems_software_libraries.htm For the 5...

Re: Update installed, but keeps restarting itself!

According to what you are saying, maybe the browser application is affecting a file for the eCabinet installer. Hopefully by looking in the Event Viewer we can find the problem. To get to the Event Viewer go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer. Click on Applications and open the...

Re: Label printing options??

You need to select the rpt file that contains the word barcode in it. Click the Print button. In the Labels section click Select File. The rpt files provided by Thermwood are located in the following directory.

c:\Rolling Nest\Labels

Re: Off Fall in CN 5.49

The off-fall size that is used for nesting is the same whether or not you do the cutting. It is strange that you experienced that type of result. We will investigate this example.

Re: Print to Window

The Print to Window feature is in the manual. It is under Printing. Hit F1 to pull the manual up when running Control Nesting. I believe you are experiencing this problem due to having a Window's 2000 control. Control Nesting is calling the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer for XP. We will get this add...
