Re: Another Vista 64 Disaster

After using Rick's aforementioned patch, I was able to install eCabinet Systems on my Vista 64-bit machine and it runs very, very well. I am running an Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 with 256MB nVidia Quadro card and 4GB RAM.

Rob, I'm stabbing in the dark here, but you stated that the software auto-updated itself on first boot. I've not tested if the "run as administrator" will stay active for auto-updating. Anyone else verified this? In the mean time, manually download the latest version and then manually run ...

Re: Pricing Discrepancy Btwn eCab Software & Store

Very good point, Rick. By default, the Woodworker's Wholesale site lists a more "retail" price. To attain the eCabinet Systems member price, the user should do the membership verification in the upper, right-hand corner of the site's home page.

Re: How do I cancel an order?

Denis, This is the eCabinet Systems Forum, as you may know. As such, would the order(s) in question concern items ordered through the eCS software? If purchased through the Wood Workers Wholesale site, this really isn't the forum for that. For that site, there are a few ways to contact the team rath...

Re: Quad Core or Core 2 Duo?

Jason, The eCabinet Systems (eCS) web site has a recommended computer system page. In it, there is a note that states: Note: The eCabinet Systems software does not benefit from multi-processor or multi-core processor systems. Multiple processor cores does not adversely affect eCS, but they don't hel...

Re: nvidia fx 3500

Memory size is not a very good benchmark for graphics card performance. A 512MB GeForce card will not necessarily be better than a 128MB Quadro FX card with regard to eCabinets. With the OpenGL requirements of eCabinet Systems, the chip's OpenGL hardware-level processing speed (as generally signifie...
