you said: Ps. Anything you run on your router should be a \"high profit item\". rant on: Tell that to the customers. If we could just get them to understand that if they are not taking time to make router components and use that time to make things they are good at or even go fishing and t...

Mike, While it may not be lots of doors, we do make a lot of parts for other people that are MDF and we make them on the router successfully. We also paint them before shipping in many cases. The painting is the hard part, not the machining! We are not big fans of MDF doors for cabinets. Not our nic...

Me or a BUG?

On attached 51.5\" tall upper cabinet, when I put in an adjustable shelf and drillholes, It goes wacko.... wants to machine an hourglass pocket of 48\" long and 10\" wide (estimated). When I nest it in eCabs it shows these shapes. I wondered if it was graphics so I tried it on the mac...

Mike, we make solid wood drawer boxes and make drawer side material in 8' or longer lenghts by running it thtrough our molder. Then we just chop to length, join it, add a bottom and touch up the finish. Pretty easy but a real selling item for our cabinetry. \"Not just any old plywood drawer, wh...

Drawer Boxes

Be gentle with me as I am trying to figure this out..... We are trying to build our first drawer boxes and while we are experienced with eCabs, this is giving us a headache. We were here talking and I was getting peppered with questions and since I haven't done it before, I am going to solicit your ...

Mike, This is like asking a football fan if he likes offense or defense. There is no right answer and you need both to make a team! Our router runs all 3 materials. We like them all because that means we are generating value for the team! Biggest key we have learned to making things go smoothly on t...

I think this is something that needs to be addressed in a coming build. The problem is that we use a .5\" tool for example but after it is worn a little and we load its diameter as 0.494\", the pocket operation won't go because it won't find a .5\" tool. Set the tool back to .5 and no...

We do not have a drill bank and use a 5mm or 3mm drill for shelf holes. We have had this problem for as long as I remember. It has been on this forum before. We have found it to do this regardless of how many holes you drill. It is always only the last hole in the line. 5 holes or 30 holes, same res...

I have narrowed it down to the Part Editor features in the design. When I run the parts without the part editor features, no problem. So for now, that's what we are going to do and manually put in the part editor features until I can figure out why.

Thanks fo rasking.

Yes, we haev a 0.5 tool loaded in our #3 position. We aren't pocketing anything though. (?) For Ecabs, we load a .250 in #1; a .375 in #2; a .5 in #3; and a 5mm drill in #4. Our operations we set are 1st to do drill with #4, then to do anything with #1 tool, then anything with #3 tool , then #2 tool...
