Latest Bookcase
This one had a hearth seat and a mantle with it. The customer installed a piece of granite on the seat and we came back and set the mantle. http://jlcustomcabinets.com/assets/images/DSCF0021_640x480.JPG http://jlcustomcabinets.com/assets/images/DSCF0022_640x480.JPG http://jlcustomcabinets.com/assets...

Re: Design help - inset cabinet
I do a lot of these alcoves. What we do is use a 2" wide stile and apply a large scribe, up to an inch if necessary then the cabinet slides right in. Sometimes I don't even have to trim the stiles.

Re: Hide lights in LDE
When you take the entire room to the LDE the lights will not hide. If you take a wall to the LDE the lights will be hidden. I believe it has always been this way.

Re: Having Trouble Generating a Registration Code
I did the same thing. I called the number and left a message with tech support and an email showed up in my inbox with a new code a little later. Don't know how that would work from the UK but maybe an email from you will do the trick.

That was happening to me as well. I would delete the drawer in the Door Drawer Editor the re choose the default drawer box and it works fine.

Re: Entertainment Center
Bob, select the part you want to put the arch on. If it is a display panel, board or object you can take it directly to the Part Editor from either the Cabinet Editor or the Detail Room. If it is a part from a cabinet then you must take the cabinet to Cabinet Editor first, if you are not already the...

Re: Sort of Off Topic and a Rant
Thom I would be a happy man if that scenario played out. But I didn't open my shop to get rich. I opened because I enjoyed what I did as a hobby, so I may as well make a living at it. A little corporate restructuring helped too. If I can provide a decent living for my family and make some friends al...

Re: Problem Printing from Nesting
I have had that happen to me and would also like to know of a solution.
When it happened to me it was when I changed all my drawer boxes from butt joints to dovetails. When I went back to butt joints the nesting returned to normal.

Re: Sort of Off Topic and a Rant
Leo No one is asking anyone to shut down production to do a small thing like a drawer face. It could easily be accomplished prior to a production run or after a run. Small things like that can be knocked out in a matter of a couple of minutes. I have a small shop and am very busy, to the point some ...

Sort of Off Topic and a Rant
I received a call yesterday from a lady that needed a drawer front by this weekend. I said depending on the profiles I may or may not be able to do it. She brought it by and it was a simple job, nothing fancy. I took her information and told her I would bring it by her house when I finished as it wa...

Re: Another painted Bookcase
On this unit the bookcase is the wall. This is located in an upstairs room and there is attic space behind the case. There are studs in between the different sections. We removed the drywall of the old wall and repositioned the studs to allow the case to slide into the wall. As far as the screws go....
