lighting tip
Ted, When you add lighting to a room and place the light fixture on the plan view, after \"escaping\" out of the placing mode, double click on the fixture to select it, and then move your cursor over the wall edge so it glows. Do not drag the fixture after double clicking. When the fixture...

Fluted moldings
Dana, Sorry for the long interval reply. I made the fluted pilasters in eCab, after making a display board, I took it into the part editor, and using a tool I made in eCab, cut the flutes into the board. It's a little tiresome when first doing one. You will use up a lot of hours to learn the process...

The finished Goods......
Here is a pix of the finished library with all the books and artiufacts placed on the shelves. Makes quite a difference. Well, that finishes this project. On to the next.

Thanks guys.
Thanks guys for the kudos. :D :D :D Jean, I build everything in my shop and finish it there. There is a great temptation to do it on the job, but the impact on the customer is pretty large with odors, masking, draping, etc. and I like to arrange the project so all I have to be on the customer site f...

Cherry Library
This is the latest project I sold with eCab. It is a little more tricky with the sloped ceiling, but that is what keeps things interesting. Sold immediately from the rendering just like the last eCab library I sold. I'll post the finished library pix in a few months.

Finshed Library
I finally got around to posting the finished library. Tricky to photograph since the customer wanted a very dark stain, but here it is.

Railing
George,
As a library builder myself, I think you have to somehow pick up the shape of the cabinet arches in the railing. I think the railing shown is too rectangular and detracts from the cabinet design. Hope that helps.

Price?
Looks like at least $4,200 depending on the wood and whether the mouldings are purchased or made in-house.

Jeremy, I did know that, and use the text feature a lot to identify my drawings by job along with the most important item..........the date. Don't know anyone who doesn't produce more than one drawing for a cab as changes occur. Without a date it is easy to use an old one by mistake. Sure wish the s...

Jeremy, Thanks for the reply. The numbering problem was in the drawing editor. I neglected to mention that. I wanted the numbers to appear in a face view of the whole library but of course, it wouldn't do that for me as I wrote. The printouts of the nesting drawings do list parts by individual numbe...

I am a new user of eCabinet and this is the first job I did entirely on eCab. E-mailed the quotation and rendering jpg I created in eCab, and had an order 20 minutes later by return e-mail. Amazing. Did scare out some bugs in the program I hope to see fixed in future versions. To lay up the cabinets...
