Re: Door panels from sheet goods and nesting
Simon Ecabinets will not nest board stock it has to be a sheet stock in order to nest.Simon Randall wrote:sorry for that but all i will be doing is adding the sheet's of ply in as board (as even if I was using a CNC it should still work).

Re: Door panels from sheet goods and nesting
Sorry Frank unless I am mistaken ECabinets only allows a board stock to be selected for door panels for there five piece doors. It will however create a cut list that you could get the panel sizes from and then you could use a cabinet with every thing deleted except for the back then resize and batch.

Re: Forcing bit use?
I gave up on it and made an Aspire file to cut them which allowed me to select the bit I needed by its #, it was slower because I had to cut them one at a time but it got the job done, thank you all for your suggestions! Re: Forcing bit use?
Terry Try putting the tool diameter in front of the z depth d0p551 z0p125 But I'm not Shure this will help though. Upon refreshing my memory from the control nesting manual it appears to me that tool diameters are only specified when using pocket, centerline and chain operations. I can not recall sp...

Re: Bringing Furniture Business to Cabinetmakers
We will be adding some basic knock down cabinets that use lock dado joints fairly soon. We are also working to be able to offer five piece doors as well as slab doors. We are trying to sort out the fact that a majority of cabinets are face frame and that adds some additional problems. We are also w...

Re: file formate
STL and HSF.If you are importing as a STL you have to load it in display part editor and save it as a HSF then you can open it in custom layout and place it in the room you can also open it in cabinet editor

Re: DXF importing
I don't know if this would help but we had a similar situation on a previous job that was drawn in sketchup. It had a lot of curves with concave and convex doors and fronts and all of the arcs and curves were segmented. I was able to change the number of segments in sketchup to 2 then export as dxf t...

Re: changing door sizes
What are you wanting to do? If all you want to do is make a door and be able to resize it then the face frame will work just delete all of the cabinet parts except for the face frame if you use a 3/4 overlay for frameless cabinets then make your rails and stiles 3/4 wide and set the overlay for your...
