Re: Profile modeler

For that particular profile I'd like it to use the 1/4" BN for the main cutting with the 1/8" BN getting closer in the corners and the 1/8" end mill to clean out the step downs. Is that not possible? If I set the 1/4" BN to leave stock will it not do the entire profile again wit...

Re: Profile modeler

So I have two possible solutions to work around the issue: 1. Your group settings are calling for a 1/4" ballnose and 1/8" endmill to model. If you actually wanted the second tool to be an 1/8" ballnose(not sure as your previous post indicated both were ballnose bits), if you add a st...

Re: Profile modeler

The Save Tooling/Settings will only grab the tooling and settings from Control Nesting. It does not get us anything from Profile Modeler, your machines tool table, etc. Export gets us most everything.

Re: Profile modeler

Forrest,

Can you post an export from Control Nesting? If you don't want to post it, you can email it to cabinets@thermwood.com

Re: Profile modeler

Is it an error in eCabinets or at the machine? Let me know if you can't get it figured out.

Re: Profile modeler

Forrest, I feel like I am missing something with this one. I can't see too much of an issue creating a door like this. You won't be able to create it as an MDF door in the Door Designer, but you should be able to use a cabinet back, delete the extra parts, pocket the center in Part Editor, come out,...

Re: Nesting a large number of small pieces

Mark,

For parts like this, I would try to change the setting under Action from True Shape, to Cut Line. I'm going to guess that will get it nesting better.

Re: Manual nesting offals

Tommy,

I can get it to do it as well with my settings. I'll pass it along to the software engineers to have a look at. Thanks for the heads up.

I see the same thing here. I'll pass the issue on to the software engineers.

Re: Program Timer Idea

Tommy, I assume you are currently using the Program Time Estimator to get the expected run time. Provided you are able to use that, and are on Control Nesting version 6.12 or higher, in Print Settings, at the bottom check the box for CNC Nest Report. That will give you the information your are looki...

Re: Adjustable Shelf Holes

Chris, Make sure if you are using Groups in Control Nesting that the 5mm tool is set up in that Group. You may be expecting it in a specific Group, but it is actually in another without that tool. If you are on verision 6.12 or newer in Control Nesting, with that material nested, you should be able ...

Re: Bottom of parts chipping

I'd guess that short ramp length is giving you some issues. Lengthen it out like Dave suggests and see what that does for you.
