Re: how to dado all the primeter edges of a board

Why don't you try and use a cabinet back -
In construction settings, change all the joinery to full dado with 0" fit and depth clearance.
Then adjust the back flush / side flush settings etc. until the back has the rabbets in it the way you have shown.
Hope this helps,

Re: Locating pins

Dave,
I replaced mine with teardrop shaped delrin mounted with shafts from McMaster Carr and some other misc. hardware.
They work a lot better then the wood ones but I also wish the price of the air pin upgrade was not so steep.

Re: Flycut Tableboard starting position

Evan, what machine do you have, and can you post the flycut code here (you may have to change the extension to .txt to post it)

Why don't you try to run the installer again, and choose the repair option -
Hope that helps,

Tim,
In construction settings, click the corner settings tab, and change the corner gap to 0.

Yep ecabs will be happy to remind you of things the hard way any time! lol...
You will always see flips in ecabinets, you will always have to check in CN or the Link to really see what's going to happen.

Re: Flip ops

Actually they're all gone now in Control Nesting. All I did was delete them and put them back in.
Only thing I can think of is maybe you had a rounding error when the shelves were put in originally - make sure you're working in decimal when you put the shelves back in.

Re: Flip ops

I got the flips eliminated on the black material by deleting the shelves, then adding them back in.

Re: Rebates with lip cutouts

Jason, You can do this with a single pass in the profile modeler if you have your profile tools set up correctly, but that will suit you only up to two passes, i.e. two "profiles". A dxf file would make it much simpler and faster. Start with a rectangle on the outline layer, then you can a...

Re: Question about KD Fasteners

Scott, The drop-in is what Hafele refers to as "with ridge" versus "without ridge". The ridge prevents you from inserting a fixed shelf in from the end, in other words, you have to drop the fixed shelf ONTO the rafix studs that are sticking out of the left / right ends. Hard to e...

Re: Issue with machining Lock dado

Scott, do you mean that the machine ran a tenon pass over the top of the sheet, in the air? Or did the tenon pass actually remove some material, meaning the amount of material removed was the fit clearance?

Re: Thin Strip of Material at End of Tenon

Hi Chris, I'm surprised, in the old days we had to be sure that the tool was at least .001" smaller than the operation we wanted it to perform, i.e. the dado, pocket, etc. I guess that's changed now, so that's great! We run a .02 depth clearance - also because the material could vary in thickne...
