My post was cut short here is the rest It is a very fortunate thing that I bought the material before hand and drove the 300+ miles to Grady's shop. If I had drop shiped the material and emailed the file I don't think there is any way the job could have come out right. I don't think that the CNC op...

My Production shareing experience
Hello all, I had my first Ecab job cut on a Production sharing member's machine last weekend. I have debated weather or not I should send this as an email to Thremwood or post this here. I think it is important that I share this with everyone. Plus I hope to get feedback from more experienced users ...

That is interesting... The file that you have is different from the one I machined so the construction parameters aren't the same; drawer insets, and other details. It dosent seem like that should matter though. On the drawer construction details (in the DBE) what is the % value for the dove tail th...

Al, The issue only shows up in when you use dovetail boxes. None of the cabinets in that job have dovetail drawers. If you go into the DBE and open one of the dove tail drawer boxes in there, then chang the material thickness to 5/8 you get the error after clicking OK and it rebuilds the box. It wil...

Your three options are 1. use the zoom and 1/32 object move to position the parts manually. (that is what I do, because it is the fastest. 2. as mentioned make everything from a cabinet, removing all that is uneeded. You can even make fluted and carved fillers this way, and they can be placed using ...

If you are intending to use Ecabinets as a tool in your business, the course will be worth its weight in gold. Because the software is provided to us at no cost, new users often treat it differently than if they dropped 2 to 3 thousand on a comparable package. If you bought a full version of Cabinet...

Hello all, After a recient thread I have been on a witch hunt to remove system wasting resources. After looking on the internet I found an antivirus product called Nod32. It appears to be customised and streamlined to use as few system resources as possible. Any comments, or sujestions? I also looke...

Al, The nearest production shareing option is about 250 miles away. So I plan to load it all up and drive out there to be with them while the job is cut. I was thinking about cutting one cabinet as well, however the cabinets all vary a lot from one another, and because of the mixed materials I might...

Al, Thank you for your help with this. Keep in mind that I am extremely grateful to yall for the help and to Thermwood for giving me this opportunity to take advantage not only of Ecabs but the entire cooperative network they have set up for us. I was being facetious about my computers performance, ...
