This is the Jacob's Ladder I made for my church. Every Nov. we let people place pictures of a friend or family member that has deceased.

You don't have to start with a standard cabinet. If you wanted you could start by loading a display object.
Or you could create a display cube and take it to the part editor.
Think of creating your piece of furniture out of a collection of indivitual parts, like you would in your workshop, rather than drawing the piece.

Really do post a picture of something you would like to draw, there are a lot of very talented guys on here that are keen to show ecabinets and their own abilities.

ecabinetsystem is the easiest to learn and most bang for buck that you will find in a CAD program.

And there are alot of use who are willing to help you.
