I was seeing if i could make a pattern using Ecabs that could be machined on the flatbed style router to make some fibreglass moulds off.
Apart from the fact that 150mm (6 inch) high bases would probably have trouble fitting under the tooling, I was/am curious if the taper or draft would come out smooth on the external face.
This (I think) would probably be possible on the flatbed if it was machined in two parts off about 75mm (3 inches high) then glued and screwed together then sanded.
At my present level of understanding I would say that it would be easier to draw it up in a cad program.
I was having problems in the profile manager with the tooling but once i got rid of the 3mm rads 1/8 inch it seemed to work a bit better.
