making one cabinet side longer than the other

Postby Virgil Wilson » Wed, Feb 03 2016, 7:32AM

Is there a way to make either the left or right side of the cabinet longer so that it would follow the ceiling slope and also join the top and back also.

You can set a negative inset in the construction settings for your cabinet. I do this, for example when an upper gets under cabinet lighting and a valence, at the end of a run to hide the lighting and accommodate the height of the valence.

I understand what your saying but what I'm trying to do is have a set of angled cabinets that follow the angle of the ceiling from the peak to the wall while keeping the bottoms at 54" from the floor. In essence every cabinet that gets hung on the wall consistently grows like a triangle at the top.

Looks like you will have to use the part editor on each part to create this

are you planning on the door being angled also??

if not you could use a display board across the top and create your cuts in it

Thanks Tim, I was hoping that it wouldn't come to that but I believe that is going to be the fix as much as I hoped it wouldn't be. Thanks for all the input.
