I found this problem discussed on earlier threads but I can not see how it was resolved. My PC was very happy minding its own business when all of a sudden I got the "Failed to create emptydocument" message when trying to start eCabs . I gave it a Valium but that did not work this time.
Save this file to your desktop and unzip. Then follow the directions below.
Failed to Create empty doc. or “1607” error:
Issue:
-Receive “Failed to Create empty doc.” or “1607” Error when attempting to open eCabinets software.
Action/s to Correct Problem:
-Save to desktop and run betheone.reg
-Goto start>Run. Type regedit then the "enter" key
-(Go into Reg Editor) > HKey Local Machine > Software > eCabinetSystems > Right Click on Base Path, select Modify, to read location of eCabinets. Desktop icon must also have same startup location changed.
-Reinstall software if none of the above work.
Ok so I got a new disc and had to do a full reinstall, so now I need a new code. The on-line code generator says i have used the maximum number of codes. I need 2 because i have also just built a new system. Quo Vadis?
Nick
I emailed you two new codes. If they are not in your inbox, please check junk and spam folders. If they were blocked all together, let me know and I will resend them from my email.
Justin thanks for sending the codes. My new system works fine but the "Failed to create emptydocument" problem persists on the system referred to in this thread even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled.
Sorry you could not contact me, I have moved around a little so maybe the number you have is out of date. I only have a cell phone 270832618169. If you dont get me during the day I will call you when I get home from work. The programme starts to check for updates and then flashes the error message on startup. I ran the registry patch again, no success.
Ok now that the time limit message has begun to pop up on our screens my "Failed to create emptydocument" problem has fixed itself and my eCabs is working again.
