Questions with using Line Drawing Editor

Post by Dolan Classen »

Hello,
Newbie trying to learn. I have some questions with how to use the LDE (Line Drawing Editor). I have a front view of a cab in it now, a small basic bathroom vanity. I want to move the view around on the page, and I see the Edit Move Increment button to set the amount the view moves, but I am not sure of one little detail... HOW DO YOU MOVE A VIEW? I have also tried to rotate the view using the Rotate Item tool, but not sure how it is supposed to work.

If I am reading this right all you want to do is move the vanity around on the page, if so look at the top left there is some button like ASS, Cab, Prt, Wall, Rm. Click on Cab and then lift click on the vanity is should turn green, then put the pointer over it and hold down the Shift key and right mouse button and move the mouse around and the vanity should move with it. and if you want to rotate it just click on Cab and left mouse button it will turn green and at the top center of the page click on the rotate Item button and a drop down bar will let you to set the amount that you would like it to rotate.

If I recall correctly...

With NOTHING selected:
  • SHIFT-RMB => Pan drawing (page).
    SHIFT-LMB+RMB => Zoom in and out of drawing (page).
With an Assembly, Cabinet, Part, etc selected:
  • SHIFT-LMB => Dynamic Rotate selected.
    SHIFT-RMB => Move selected.
    SHIFT-LMB+RMB => Enlarge/reduce selected.
    Mouse-Wheel => Explode selected cabinet.
(LMB = Left Mouse Button, RMB = Right Mouse Button)
