Cutlist manipulation and options?

Post by Dolan Classen »

Are there no options available for displaying a cutlist? You click the "C" button and you have a cutlist, arranged and displayed in one format, with apparently no way of manipulating within Ecabs. It would be beneficial to be able to collate/sort for example. Identical items should be grouped. There just doesn't appear to be any way to customize the cutlist format, it is this one way or nothing. And yes you can export it to excel, but then you have to manually arrange your spreadsheet anyway. It doesn't save much time if you have to manually set up and format your list anyway. You might as well just create a cutlist format in excel, then input the piece sizes manually by typing them into the cells.

If there is no way to customize or format your cutlist, I would strongly recommend this for future releases. There should at least be some options to remove certain types of items, or group identical pieces, etc.

You can write a macro in Excel to rearrange and sort the cutlist anyway you wish.
