V 6

I started in playing around with v6, I have some problems can't get past the hardware can someone help.
1. when I load a existing job, it ask me if I want to upgrade all the cabinets to V6, should I do this. but when I hit no the program shuts down.
2. when I load a standard cabinet, it wants to add new hardware but all the part number mean nothing to me unless the is a photo to go with it ,where is the select new hardware button that you can see what I will be aplying.as this is a new program this maybe not all that I ask but it a start. thanks for any help.

I have been trying to play around a little more, but now the program want run, when I click on a cabinet no matter where or type it loads and then I have a pop-up program is shutting down, I did turn off the computer and restart, but it didn't help, I am running windows XP, do I need to try to redownload V6 again. any help.
