LDE Problem

Post by Lamar Horton »

When I print my drawings from LDE most of the lines are gone. This is after the V6 update. However I can now save as a jpg and not get the nasty dialog boxes anymore. But that may be from upgrading the graphics card and adding another 512mb of ram. Either way its better.

Lamar,

The nasty dialog boxes in the JPG have been fixed in V6, so that is not the graphics card. That issue I think was more related to Vista than anything else.

As for your lines not printing, does this happen in the Print Preview as well? Can you post a screen shot from the print preview showing exactly what you are seeing?

I have created simple LDE prints and of course, they work fine. Feel free to attach a small sample job if necessary.

Ryan,

I have a client with the same issue. Here are two images of the kitchen: One a screen shot of what it should look like, the other of the print preview (which is exactly what is printed).

I have the same problem and I run on Windows XP Proffessional. I can't seem to print any LDE that are good enough.

Also my system is really slow since I put it on... it has a 5 sec delay between moving the mouse and the graphics moving when I zoom or rotate ect. Didn't have that with the previous version.

Josh,

The LINE ENHANCEMENT setting was actually Shana's (see above). I believe she had it set to 3.

I've been happy with line enhancement at 3 but have mistakenly changed it in the past and have had similar results to what you are all experiencing. Just a thought.

Once v6 does print properly for you, you may notice significant improvements to the printing resolution. I used to print to a page size that was enormous then shrink it down with a PDF creator software to fake it out to a better resolution but that is no longer necessary for me. So far so good here....

It's the same problem as Shana's. Here is the job.

They do not show up in the print preview or after printing to PDF writer.

I am also having trouble with missing lines on LDE printouts

Tried adjusting line weight with no positive results.

I am also having some serious problems with the new line drawing editor related to printing. Sometimes when I go to print preview I get a preview but everything is black except my arrows and then all the other time I don't even get a preview? Not sure if there is some new setting I can't find or what? I will attach the program file I seem to be having trouble with!
