Can't add Refridgerator

Post by Robin Thompson »

Progressing nicely with V6 except I have run into a problem loading a fridge. I can load all other appliances ,but I can't load any type of fridge. :D
Customer is coming in to see her design with deposit in hand in the morning and I have to have a fridge lol.

Robin,

Are you getting any errors when trying to load this? Can you give any additional information that might be able to help in determining what is wrong?

Let us know.

I don't know if a solution has been found to this problem, but you can create a look-alike fridge with a Display Cube, that should satisfy your timeline to show the customer.

In the Cabinet Editor, I would probably create a large cube the size of the fridge. Find an image of a fridge that's a frontal view on the internet and save it as a jpg. Apply the image to a thin cube and apply that as a fascia to the front of the large cube.
Save it as an assembly.

Place it in the room. It won't snap to a wall, so you'll have to drag it into position. Associate it to a wall if you need to move it up and down in elevation.

Hope you make the sale.

WEll customer came and went. fortunately signed up and left deposit with me. I used the display cube with the image of her fridge. she laughed and said well it isn't the real thing but she understood.
As for the problem with the fridge not loading. I do not get any error messages. I used the same method for adding the stove and dishwasher but still no fridge. I can't tell you anything more. I'll keep working on it and see if I can discover anything that might be an issue.

:D Thx

So, if you just create one wall with nothing on it can you place a refrigerator on it? Are you trying to place this refrigerator into a big cabinet by any chance?

I had this problem with a Job file. I couldn't place a refrigerator and when I tried the dishwasher disappeared. For reasons other than this I re-did the job and placing the refrigerator worked fine.

Ryan,

I'll e-mail you the two job files.

Bryan,

There is an issue with design 3-b.esj with Hoops. So, is this a 5.2 Job? Can you place a refrigerator is the 5.2 job version?

I am trying to determine if this problem is an upgrade issue or something else. If you have the 5.2 job, assuming that is what it was, please send that to me.

There is an issue with the White Side-by-side refrigerator that should be addressed in the next build. Only the White Side-by-side seems to be effected.

Ryan, I also am having a problem loading a fridge. The one I am looking for is the twin door, full of corona's. I believe it was last used by the programmers last summer and never refilled.
Can you let me know when this appliance will become available again?
Thanks

Cheeky Auzzie!!!

Corona's? Wouldn't you be after XXXX? :joker:

Ryan,

I don't believe it was a 5.2 job. I'll have to check on my old laptop.

I correct myself. The walls started off as a 5.2 file (attached). I don't remember it asking me to upgrade though.

The problems could come from this though.

Bryan,

Thanks for the Job, that is exactly what I was looking for.

I have this listed and it should be fixed soon.
