How can I figure creating an ellipse in PE??

Post by JohnLashuay »

I am trying to figure out how to cut a top into an ellipse (oval) shape that is 50x34. Any ideas as to how this can be done?

Sorry Sean, I simply sent John a DXF file of an ellipse created in a cad program. I am sure there is a formula for calculating it, just not off the top of my head.

Thanks Rick,
Is there any chance I could have a copy of that too please. There certainly doesn't seem to be any way it can be created with eCabinet tools (unless I am mistaken)

Regards
Sean

Sean, I will post it as a zip file. You should be able to size it using the offset feature.
