V6b2 Part Editor

Post by Gary Campbell »

Part Editor cuts are returned erroneous when crossing tenon dados. Steps to repeat:
From CE, open std base framed
Const set. >>GLobal set joinery to blind dado
>> Uncheck Face frames
CE main
Part/shelf editor>> remove adj shelf
> add fixed shelf rear setback 16, set opening hgt to 5
> add partition in opening formed by shelf
CE Main
take partition to PE and make rectangular thru cut on top edge
CE Main
Take partition to Const Mgr>> constrain parts
Returns this part:

Taking cabinet to nest returns similar part. Which seems to make a pocket rectangle inside the tenon dado, instead of becoming a portion of the part outline.

Gary,

This is not new behavior to V6 build 2. This cut away tenon returning across after a regen has always done this from the birth of the Part Editor. You must have just not seen/performed this specific scenario before. Some time in the future, we hope to be able to support the system tenons being split.
