Cannot use dislpay objects

Postby Rick Nagy » Mon, Mar 01 2010, 6:35PM

Hi,

Is there a reason why when I try to take a display object like a sink or microwave, when I select it and try to take it into a room, it blinks in the bottom left corner of the room and disappears never to return???

Thanks,

Rick

You might need to post your job. I just tried placing a bunch of Display Objects and I had no problem. I placed them into an empty two-walled room.

Display Objects don't get placed like cabinets do, they just pop up in what appears to be the center of the room.

I think they may be hiding under my kitchen island.??? .. Yep.. i moved the stove and they were all under there. 4 microwaves, 2 sink faucets and a stool or 2.!

One trick for taming Display Objects is to open them in the Cabinet/Assembly Editor, rotate them as desired and then save them as an assembly. You then place them as an assembly. This gives you a lot better control when placing them in a room.
