Tiered Miter Problems

Post by John J. Desmond »

Can anyone help with this? I am using a 22.5 degree miter on each side of ff where it meets the finished end. I set scribes for all but the right stile is misbehaving. What am I doing wrong? I added a picture as well as the cabinet.

John,

Looks like you found a bug.

When you add a negative scribe to the stiles the cabinet isn't behaving properly.

Thanks Kerry. I think. I will let them know. I have never found a bug. Do they just read the posts and go from there or is it better to let them know. I will research to find out. Anyway, thanks.

Kerry,

I used the feedback link in the program. I didn't add a file of it because I don't know how to save as a zip file. Anyway, I directed them to this post to look at the cabinet. Thanks for your help.

John,

The best way to report a bug or potential bug is to open eCabinets
Click on Communications at the top of the screen
Click on feedback and then fill out the form that opens.
There is a radio button for Bug Report
Submit the form.

This goes directly to the programmers.

John,

There are many ways to report an issue. Kerry mentioned one, there is also direct email, and of course, posting on this forum. Posting on the forum is the way I prefer, that way other members that might be having a similar issue can help with other solutions or at least confirm the issue you are having. The team here at Thermwood does monitor this forum and search every posted conversation for issues, even if you do not think that an issue is present.

As for your posted issue, there is something going on with the Outscribe and FaceFrames. I have noticed that if you UnCheck "Left and Right Sides Mitered" in the "Angled Front Face Frame Setting" of the "Corner Settings" Tab, you will get the results of what I think you are trying to achieve. Granted this is a workaround.

I am submitting this as an issue to be reviewed.

Thanks for posting.
