Hi John
I'm not sure if this helps but I use (the shift button and hold down the two mouse buttons at the same time) and drag the mouse towards you to zoom in.
Hope this helps.

yes i understand thats how to zoom but when my pointer is over the menu buttons and the various windows at the
side of my screen its fine. when its over the drawing areas it just flickers on and off like a flashing light. Its driving me nuts.
Thanks Mark.

Ah now I understand, and I would have to say my mouse is not having the issue you describe. Sorry but no idea.

John,

right click anywhere on your desktop
choose properties
Click in the settings tab
Click advanced
Click on the troubleshoot tab
lower the hardware acceleration a few notches and see if that fixes the problem then move it back up till the problem starts again and you will then know where to leave it.

I've got the flickering circle with cross-hairs when I go to the countertop editor. As I position the cursor over a corner, it briefly flickers on and off. It was a steady circle with cross-hair icon in V5. Everywhere else in V6 the cursor is fine.

Not sure if the two are related....
Sincerely,

Donald,

The two may be related but I don't think so. It is sometimes hard to select nodes in the counter top editor for a variety of reasons. I can generally cure this by zooming in on the troublesome node (dragging a box with the ctrl key and mouse) making selection much easier.

Thanks Kerry that did the trick. The only thing is this problem only just started this weekend,I had already lowered
the hardware acceleration to loose the ghosting in custom layout area. Anyway it seems to be ok now.
Thanks again John.

John,

You mentioned in another post that you had not updated your video drivers. Updating will probably help.
