Taking cabinets from room into CE then returning to room causes:
an increase in the time it takes to load a cabinet into the cabinet editor, progressively worse with each occurance, by the tenth cabinet, it's like my processor left and hired a three toed sloth to take it's place....
is anyone else experiencing this ?

Re: Speed of build3 - Room to CE
Josh,
I'm glad you sounded off on this as I experience the same slow down. I've got a Dell XPS with quad processor with 8GB ram running Windows 7 (64-bit), Radeon 4800 series video controller with 1GB ram on board and it just about goes to its knees after editing a couple of cabinets in the CE taken from custom room layout. When I go to add another cabinet to the room, the lag time between moving the cursor and the cabinet wire frame actually moving is pretty dramatic. Up to 4 seconds lag in response time. It makes it tough to position a cabinet in a room.
I've also noted that each time I do a job save the memory usage increases - even if I have not made any changes to a cabinet or room layout. I sent an email to Ryan about this with "resource manager" screen shots of memory usage and exact steps I took prior to saving the job.

Re: Speed of build3 - Room to CE
Hi Donald,
Thanks for your post, I was afraid I might be the only one.
I don't have such a severe problem initially, for whatever reason.....?
However, after about 5 cabinets going from the room to CE then back again, it really bogs down.
I have noticed that if I save the job, exit program, then restart ecabs, it behaves normally again. It's really just annoying to have to do that on a regular basis...

V6B3 sloows to a crawl for me too, got to save after every edit because there are times it's just best to shut down & re-open program, and yeah, the more edits the slower it gets
