hi from oz.
I followed the link in a previous post to show open drawers by adjusting the back and front inset.
This worked fine but the drawer box just pushed through the drawer front. I thought it would be
a simple job to set the move incrament to the same distance and move the drawer front out.
Is it not possible to do this. If not how do you show an open drawer with o drawer front attached.
Thanks John.

Re: To show open drawer
Hi John
In the Door/Drawer Editor, on the window that pops up when you select "Add Drawer", the third box from the top is "Drawer Inset" -- inserting a negative number here will give you an open drawer. For the drawer box, check "add drawer box" and it will automatically attach itself to the drawer front in the open position. Make sure you add on the same amount to the Drawer Box's "Back Inset" box (if you want the drawer open by 5 inches, and you drawer box has a 1/2" gap before the cabinet back, change the inset to 5 1/2"). If you want all your drawers to be open, you can make it your default by changing the drawer inset in Construction Settings (if you have a drawer highlighted, the Drawer Inset" box will be greyed out). To my knowledge, changing the Construction Settings will not affect previously installed drawers. I'm not sure how this will affect hardware holes, however.
Hope that helps!

Re: To show open drawer
John,
It sounds like you are using the Drawer Box Editor to add all your drawers. The drawer Box editor is used primarily to add drawers behind doors etc. Add your drawers with fronts as Elaine has suggested by checking Add Drawer Box with Drawer Front in the Door/Drawer Front editor. This will save you some steps.
