Dan,
I read a post a while ago about how you set your page filing to another HHD. I had an old HHD in the garage and stuck it in and set the page filing to it, man what a difference.
Thanks
PS would this work with an external hard drive through a USB 2.0?
Thanks to Dan Epps

Glad it helped you.
You shouldn't use an external drive for paging for a couple of reasons:
1. USB is way too slow to use for paging.
2. If the USB cable were to get unplugged--CRASH.
3. Paging gets initialized long before the operating system initializes USB. When the designated page file cannot be found during boot it will be moved to the boot drive.
4. Not sure Windows will even allow you to set paging to an external drive.
