Thermwood CabinetShop 43 modeling mdf doors

Post by Duane Marrett »

Demonstration of MDF doors being modeled on a Thermwood CabinetShop 43. The doors were created in the Part Editor of eCabinet Systems, and then sent to the CabinetShop 43.

Thanks,

Great Video Duane,
Looks like about 9 doors? What was the machine time to do those?
If the client wants some 4 pane glass doors can you design that to match the design shown on youtube? What would be the process time?

Neville,

These doors were around a 20 minute run time each. That will vary depending on the step over amount set in Profile Modeler. The doors were created in eCabinet Systems through the part editor, so to answer you second question yes you could create a 4 pane glass door. Run time for that would depend on the detail in the styles and rails you make and again the step over distance. Thank you.

Thanks Brent,
We have about 25 doors per average kitchen, so we are looking about 8 hrs work.
On a unique style I can justify the time but on a standard pattern where we have the correct shaped router bits in place I will have to continue with my legacy software.

Thanks for the reply
