Part Editor Changing Part sizes

Well, I have a upper face frame cabinet with glass doors on front and side! Sometimes when I cut the side out the appropriate size for glass door, the part size will change after! I can go back to C.E. looks great! Return to room then back to same cabinet and my side "seems" as though it has a negative front inset of 1/4", and my cutout location has changed? I did not change size or can find any reason this would happen? Could it be there is a glitch in part editor? It hasn't given me any problems with anything else??
