Desinging Multiple Cabinets

Post by John J. Desmond »

If I designed a bookcase and wanted to build 50 of them how would I get the program to give me a cutlist for 50 cabinets without designing all 50? Is this only possible for using a Thermwood router or can it relate to the cutlist?

open cabinet batch.

Select the cabinet

When it gives you the chance to change sizes, you can also change quantities.

enter 50

click on the nest or cut list, whatever you want to see.

There are three opportunities to change the quantity. As stated above, when you select the cabinet you can enter a quantity and change the dimensions on the dialog as it is being entered into the batch. After a cabinet is in the batch you can change the quantity by clicking on the blue number.

You can also use the filter option in Nest Diagrams to change the quantiy of cabinets or parts. Click on the Filter option, then select the cabinet or part. Press the enter key, the quantity field will be opened up on the selected item. Enter the new quantity. The Filter option also lets you eliminate parts or cabinets by clicking in the check box. That changes to a red "X". Any green check marked item will be nested.
