Good one Brian, I wish I could vote more than once! Got one sitting in the shop right now that is late because the customer will NOT call to confirm her hardware choices. Finally we get back our sample book with no less than 20 pieces of tape in it marking her choices and not a clue as to what goes where or how! Sheesh. So we picked out a couple from her choices and ordered them yesterday. Not 30 seconds after I hung up the phone, she called... I cut her off in mid sentence and told her I already chose and ordered her hardware. \"Okay!\" was the response... now no doubt she'll wonder why we're missing the deadline. grrrr! :wall:

good one jeremy.
Making an executive decision you'll probably pay for it in the end though, you know wrong hole pattern, to many holes and forget getting reimbursed for overnight freight. besides deadlines are merely suggestion in residential work anyway right  . thats what i tell my customers, hey i'm only a one man shop and if i'm talking to you on the phone i'm not working now am I. :wall: . How many guys you got working in your shop ?

That's right, her phone call cost her 5 minutes of spray-time! We're a 4-person shop, all family. (In other words, 4 bosses...LOL)
Sell, design, build, and install everything. So it does get tough to make the scheduling work when A) We have an install to do, B) There is another one in the shop we need to be working on, and C) We need to be out selling. Would we hire any employees? HECK NO. I wouldn't trust anyone to uphold our standards.

jeremy ,

Yer lucky at least if something goes wrong you can all point the finger at the other guy. I have to stand in front of the mirror and yell at myself or go break something  . just me all alone  wife helps with getting business and running errands. what really sucks is i can't leave the shop and still be working there at the same time. We don't finish any more we send it out looks just as good and i don't have to do it :P
