Converting segment to arcs
Does anyone have a solution for converting the segments in a dxf file to arcs that will work in the shapmanager? Hopefully this is clear!!

Re: Converting segment to arcs
I use BobCad, which has a feature called "create splines" and you can choose to "use arcs" as an option. This will accomplish the task, but I don't know what CAD program you are using. If necessary you can send me what you have and I'll see what I can do with it.

Re: Converting segment to arcs
Ray,
Mastercam Design LT also has the ability to "convert" any parametric splines into tangential lines and arcs. Should run you less than $300 USD. Design LT does not have any CAM functionality, but it is fine for the creation/modification of layered DXF files. If you do later move up to the full-fledged Mastercam Router CAD/CAM system, you should then already be fairly proficient in the CAD side of product.
I used Mastercam to "break" the splines in your "Crown" geometries into tangential lines and arcs. (See attached)

I forgot to point out that Mastercam Design LT (lite) is a product that Thermwood should be able to supply you. Contact Brent East at Thermwood.
