Amerock Pull

Post by leigh mills »

Hi,

I have looked through the Amerock pulls located in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\hardware\Pulls\
every single pull in this folder doesnt have a hsf file, but nearly all of our handles are located in this folder :wall: . does anyone know where I can get the hsf files from, so that I can use these handles in the room layout?

Thanks

Hi Rick,

Yes we installed this link some time ago, however the update doesnt give you the hsf files for the Amerock pulls. We un-installed the link and re-installed to see if any files were lost, but still no hsf files.

All other folders have hsf files, it is just the Amerock folder.

Thanks,

Leigh,

I don't remember the Amerock pulls ever including the 3D model. They have always just marked the position.

ok thanks Kerry,

Another thing I have noticed with the door/drawer pulls is that when associating the drawer pull the handle is displayed on the drawer correctly, however when associating the door pull the handle is placed in the centre of the unit. I think this has only been an issue in V6, is there a work around? Am I doing it correctly?

Thanks

Leigh,

The default location for door and drawer front pulls in eCabinets is the center unless you change it.
In the door/drawer front editor click on a door to select it then click the Add/Locate Pulls button.
A dialog box will open for you to position the pull on that door. If the door you chose is a left hand door then this setting will be in effect for any left hand door you place on this cabinet. Repeat the procedure for the right hand door.
This information will be saved with this cabinet and will also be in effect for any cabinet you create from this cabinet.

Ok, I have narrowed the problem down.. It seems that I am just getting this fault with LH hinged doors. When I associate a handle to a RH hinge door it is fine.

Leigh,

I see what you mean now. What pull is that?
Have you tried a different pull to see if you have the same problem?

Post your cabinet so we can look at it.

Leigh,

I get the same results you do using your cabinet.
The eCabinets guys will probably want to look at this.

Leigh,

It is a bug using MDF doors. I get the pull problem on my cabinet if I use an MDF door.
