Version 5 Cabinets & Part Editor Problems

Post by Vince Lisanti »

Hey All,

I apply pilot holes to this cabinet in the part editor and when I go back to main to bring into constraint editor it will not recognize the pilot holes and let me select nodes (the holes are there just cannot select the nodes). Also, if I click on construction settings and make any changes at all or even just click OK with no changes the holes disappear.

This is a cabinet I pulled from a version 5 Library. When I do the same thing using a cabinet from the ver. 6 standard cabinets all works ok.

I will attach the cabinet and my saved geometry for the pilot holes and if anyone wants to see if you have the same problems with the above operation please do.

Thanks

Hi Vince!

I don't see the nodes in the constraint manager either.

Have you tried sending this cabinet to Thermwood for them to check it out?

Hey John,

Yes I sent it to Dan at Thermwood ecabs division and he said it worked for him but he is running a BETA version of ecabs on his computer now so that could be the difference.

How is biz for you guys?

We are slower than we would like to be, but that seems to be the norm. We tend to be pretty busy or very slow. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground.

Since we purchase a CS 43, we have seen some added jobs due to the machine capabilities, but sales are still pretty slow.

How about you? How are your sales?

About the same for me John. Surviving but not thriving.
I am starting to see the potential for things to get better soon though.
Some decent leads have been coming in in recent weeks.

Thanks for trying to assist on the constraint issue.
Hopefully when the new build or update comes out that Daniel is beta testing that will resolve the problem since it worked for him using my cabinet while running the beta.

Come to Australia, I have never seen it as busy as it is now, even with the GFC it was pretty good. Now we are booked out till nearly Christmas.
