After you select the cabinet or wall and it turns green are you holding the shift key on your keyboard down while you press both mouse buttons and try to zoom?

Are you sure you are not in NOTE or LEADER mode?? I can sorta reproduce what you are speaking about but only if I am in NOTE or LEADER modes. Physically click on one of the other dimension modes (such as Horizontal or Vertical Dimensioning) and see if the problem goes away.

Positively, I've done this application for years with no problems, but now it seems by selecting any part or cabinet I'm able to zoom in the wall. Don't know what caused the change except for the upgrade to B5
