Unrecognized database format

Post by tim lucas »

I was just having a good old time on my new notebook computer :D , but when I started Ecabs this came up :?: .
ecab problem.jpg
Ecabs was working fine, but now every time I run Ecabs this comes up and wont let me go any further.
I don't even have a directory "C:\programdata...."
I ran the install repair, but no good.

Should I unistall and then install again or is there a fix ? :?

Thanks for any help

Tim,

If you have any custom hardware pricing in the database in question, then please send me a copy so that I might examine this to see what has gone wrong.

If not, then in order for a reinstall to help with this issue, you will need to locate the file in the error message, and delete or move it from that location. Now when you re-install or repair the installation, it should replace the file with a blank database and eliminate the error message.

Feel free to post your database or email it in with my name in the message.

I hope this helps.

Hi Ryan

I did not have any pricing in the database, it was blank and right where it should have been - I was able to restore to a previous version on that file once but then it happened again so I removed all of ecabs and installed it fresh and it is working fine now. I could have been just me.
If it happens again i'll let you know.

Thanks for your help
