Can you post the job? I'm willing to bet you've got some lost part bodies. If you right click on each cabinet in the CE, choose "remove part editor cuts" "from entire cabinet" if you can get them into the editor at all. This will rebuild the part bodies and you should be able to save. Please post job to confirm this is the issue...

Thank you, I tried taking an assembly that I made this morning back int to cabinet editor and doing as you say with the removal of parts editor. It did not help. Please remind me how to "post the job" and I will do so.

Thank you,

Jeff,
Just zip the job file and attach it to your post.

OK, I went to the ecabinets folder, selected the job file, right clicked it and selected to send to a zipped ( compressed) folder. Then from the post a reply screen I used the upload attachment tab, found the zipped folder then tried to attach it but after watching it load for about two minutes it basically said the file is too big.
This saving problem occurred on the last job also and I had to close the program. When I opened it back up all of my work was not saved. So its not just this one job doing it. Obviously I cant just leave the computer running forever so I am really worried about this. If I need to post this job am I doing it properly?

Sorry for the trouble

Well, I ran my window washer and restarted the computer. It worked! It is back to saving my jobs and life goes on, back out to the shop. Thank you everyone, its seems to be resolved for now.

This message came up for me after creating a batch list from existing cabinets then changing the material. It keeps on coming up after I try to save it.

Can someone check out the attached file and see if you encounter the same problems?

Thanks,
-John

The previously attached file has only part of the job in sunset color and the rest is in white. The white is the original color so during the process of changing the rest to sunset is where the problem not being able to save is occurring.

Note: during the process of changing the material the first time, an "invalid argument has occurred" error kept coming up. Because of this error, I stopped the process of changing the rest of the material and then was able to save it, as you see in the attached file. I'm not sure what this invalid argument error is and if it has anything to do with not being able to save the file later on.

John,

Do you have a copy of this job before any of your material changes were done (or can you remake it to that point?)? I did not have any troubles changing materials and then saving the job.

Hi Scott! I haven't had a chance to recreate the prior job that I posted, but I am attaching another job that I am having the same problem with. I have not been able to save it after I have changed the material color.

Scott, open this last file
1. change "sheet stock" -> select white material -> find material to change to (with grain)
2. apply (not OK)
3. OK through constraint pop ups
3. OK
4. Save
Error comes up "error occurred while trying read parasolid file info" -> OK -> Error: "there was a problem saving the job"

Note: I have restarted the computer and then reloaded this job and I get the same results.

John,

It still seems to work OK for me. What is the full path of the location you are saving in? Are you saving to a networked location?
