Change Door Wood Species

Post by John J. Desmond »

Someone please tell me how to change wood species on doors. I am trying to make and save a shaker door in Alder. I can set the door the way I want it but when I try to change the wood it only allows Oak, cherry and maple, I think. So, how do I add alder to the list?

Thanks,
John

John,

You can't add a wood species to doors. You can add alder in your details for five piece construction but not in the images.
I would use a cherry image and call it alder.

Hi

You can change the image in all your Databases, I have changed one Oak Jpeg to Antique white. you need to make the Image size the same and you need to keep the name the same.

Karin,

I was doing that for a while but then every time I installed a new build or version my files were over written by the eCabinets files and I had to redo everything so I finally gave up.

Do you not have this problem?

Hi Kerry

Yes I do have that problem too, but we design 4 -6 kitchens a week and we made
a folder with our colours , after every new update we just spend 10min. to change it back. so we can design our kitchens with the right material and we save time that way.
