How many times does your e-cabinet crash?

Post by Sergio Fetter »

Just out of curiosity... How many times does your e-cabinet crash after doing a render?

I have been having problems with mine ever since I installed in my new computer. Any ideas what it might have gone wrong?

Thanks!

Thank you Kerry,

Everything is up to date, and working great. It happens every time that I am building a countertop, and select to add back splashes... can count on it 100%.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Sergio,

What video card did you get with this new computer?

You might try slowing hardware acceleration to see if that helps.

Kerry,
I have a HP g-71 laptop, intel t4300 running Win 7 home Premium. Ecabs stops responding quite often after doing rendering presentation view and going back to layout. I started at 7:30 this morning, it is 11:19 and Ecabs has locked up about ten times...I am in the habit of saving right before presentation views because of this. I poked around, but have no idea how to tell what is in this laptop for a video card or how to manipulate it.

Mike,

Same question to you:
What graphics card is in your laptop? Does it have dedicated memory on the card or does it rely on system memory.
Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers for this card. (through HP)

Kerry,
Did some sniffing around, found out that I have the Mobil Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
I just updated the driver, went back and forth between renederings and layout three times with no lockup. That is an improvement. I can't afford to be out of the shop much longer playing with software, but if I still have problems, or if I notice there are no problems I'll report back.

Mike, Unfortunately the G71 series doesn't have the graphic ability required to run the program to it's full potential. The minimum computer spec is posted on the Ecabinet website.
