geting rid of the ' sign in the cutlist

Post by Ray Jorgensen »

Is there a way to remove the ' before each # in the cutlist so the number can be recognized? Replace will not find a match for it. I can remove manually - but that is time consuming!!

Thanks

Hi Ray, I will assume you mean while in Excel, in Sheet Component Listing hilite the whole column (ie column E for width) then click Edit>Find. There you can enter " in the Find What box, then click Replace. In the Replace With box don't enter anything, click Replace All. That will remove all the inch markers from that column. From there you can hilite all the numbers in that column and convert them to a number all at once. HTH

Ray,

After removing the " marks the numbers are entered as text so you will have to convert them to numbers.
