I made a DFX file in AutoCAD. I opened it in the shape manager and chose make a create a tool, selected the shape and chose a diameter (tried a lot of diameters). When I went to use it it did not show up in the list. When I went into Explorer it was in the directory. I restarted eCabs and it didn't help. The file/tool will not show up so I can select it. It looks like a valid file with an appropriate size of file. It is a Windsor Molding cutter.
Can any of you make it work?
Why won't this tool show up?

Re: Why won't this tool show up?
Leo,
Is it in you My Profile Tools directory? Try shutting down eCabinets and Windows and re start.
You have your tool created out in space. I had to use 20" left Additional Offset and a - 16" Plunge depth to get it close to where it should be.
Open your tool in the shape manager and move it to the 0",0" point and save again.

Leo,
After reading about your similar experience in the Beta Forum I wanted to ask if you are placing things using the correct path.
Make sure you aren't placing this stuff using the C:\Program Files\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems path
This path through Program Files is your old V5 Files and they will not show up in V6 eCabinets.

Re: Why won't this tool show up?
Thanks Kerry, that was it. Wrong directory. And I was able to move the profile so it sat a 0,0. I actually should move it to -1/8,0 because that is how it is meant to cut.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Every one should give a HIGH FIVE for KERRY as he always seems to come through with the answer. !!!!!!!!!!Leo Graywacz wrote:Thanks Kerry, that was it. Wrong directory. And I was able to move the profile so it sat a 0,0. I actually should move it to -1/8,0 because that is how it is meant to cut.
