Flush case interior to inside edge of FF Stile?

Post by Evan Andersen »

I'm sure there's an easy answer for this but I couldn't find it in my searches..

My typical face frame stile is flush on the inside to the case, which allows the edge of the stile to be scribed to the wall, as well as simplifying hinge/slide installation. The software seems to want it to be flush with the outside of the stile, how do I change this?

In Face frame Construction Settings use the Outside Scribe setting located in the Left and Right Stile area of the menu. Deck Float does the same for the bottom rail.

A while back we requested a "flush to inside" button for this very reason. The advantage would be if you changed material with a slightly different thickness it would adjust as needed. Forrest

Agreed Forrest, that would be a very good enhancement. Though we don't use face frames often, it certainly would be useful when we did, and I can see the value for those who do lots of face frame work.
