Problem with shape manager?

Post by Scott Marshburn »

In shape manager draw a 3 point arc at 0,0_ 20 3/8,11/16_ 40 3/4,0
I get a straight line no arch.
Also get the same result when importing as dxf from draft sight
I can get the geometry that I am after by importing from sketchup but every thing is line segments

Scott,

i get the same results. Must be broken. I can draw your arc in the part editor but not the shape manager.

Scott,

Thanks for the post. This is not new to build 8, but I added it to the list to be resolved. It is only a graphical issue in Shape Manager, so if you were to actually cut this shape into something (such take the geometry into Contour area of the Part Editor) it will show and do what you want. Anyway, it will be resolved for the next release.

Thanks Kerry and Scott for your help once again. I sure am glad that I don’t have to use all of those line segments to cut these parts after all. It really slows down my computer and takes for ever to wright the code at the machine.
