Wall view and counter tops

Postby FredHirsch » Mon, Jun 18 2012, 4:17PM

Is there a way to get the countertops to appear in wall view? I like to take the wall view to Line Drawing and can't seem to get the countertops in there.
Thanks,
Fred

You have to Associate to the wall before you take it to LDE.

Wally,
Thanks for the reply. I did that and now it appears (thank you), but I can't dimension off of it.. "m" to displays no counter top nodes.
Is it working on your room?
Thanks,
Fred

Fred -- I don't have any nodes in wall view but I do in the floor plan view. I don't know if this is a bug or what.

Wally,
Thanks for testing. It might just be a bug.

For dimensioning countertops, I usually select the countertop as a part. Then copy and paste it to another page. Now you can dimension it.

Dennis,
I saw how you did that in the training videos, but even when I select the counter from wall view paste on to new page I can't dimension. It is almost like in wall view it becomes a display object when in room view it is a part?
Thanks,
Fred

Try selecting it from the plan view. You can always delete that page.
