Lock Dado Question

Post by Zach Froble »

Is there anyway to put 2 KD fasteners and one small tenon on stretchers around 5" wide. I tried a few different setting and couldn't seem to get it. When routing it slows down so much cutting around the two small tenons my bits are dulling faster than normal.

There is a setting in control nesting called min feed rate, bump that number up if you're getting too slow of a feed rate on small parts. You could also play with the last line feed. I haven't made any lock dados that small but I'm pretty sure it can be done, maybe change your lack dado gap to zero and min and max dist. to 2-3 inches, make sure single max edge length is zero too.
