Post by Donald L Estes »

In Door/ Drawer Editor there are a couple doors with Cathedral raised panels, is it possible to make door with top of top rail in a cathedral shape to follow Cathedral Shape of Raised Panel ?
How to do this ?

Donald,

Not sure we understand what you are wanting to do here. If you can, please give a little more info/details about what you are wanting.

All doors in Door/ Drawer Editor are square top doors, there one in the Conestoga catalog, and one in the Thermwood catalog, that has a cathedral shaped raised panel and the bottom of the top rail is in a cathedral shape that follows shape of raised panel, I want the top rail to be substanially wider and the top of the top rail in the same cathedral shape as the bottom of the top rail, for instance, stiles 2.5" wide, bottom rail 2.5" wide, top rail 8.5" wide, with catedral shape at top of door.
Also on another problem, also in Door/Drawer Editor the button that says "CREATE MATCHING DRAWER" I often get respose that matching drawer is "NOT AVAILABLE" .The button says "CREATE" not pick
from available drawers, we should be able to create a matching drawer front. Thanks for Help

Donald,

We currently do not have any stock doors in the software that have an arch or cathedral shape on the exterior of the door. You would have to use the part editor to get something to look like what you are wanting.

Donald, Even if Scott did give you a cathedral door it would be single pass. The door designs are so limited they reallly can't be used. There is no flexabilty with edge treatment or how the pattern works with a bank of drawers or pantry full height door with mid rail for example.
The main reason could be is the panelmatrix program they sell that has been written by the Canadians. This has many door designs including the one you ask about. Maybe Scott can send you a link if you want to know more.
